Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Water line kit (if not pre-installed)
  • Tape measure

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper ventilation, away from heat sources, and on a solid, level floor.
  2. Remove Packaging Materials: Remove all shipping materials, tapes, and protective films from the refrigerator and ice maker.
  3. Connect Water Supply: Connect the water supply line to the refrigerator's water inlet valve. Use only approved water lines.
  4. Level the Refrigerator: Adjust the leveling legs to ensure the refrigerator is level from front to back and side to side for proper door closure.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 60Hz, dedicated outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  6. Ice Maker Setup: Ensure the ice maker arm is in the "down" position for automatic operation.
  7. Initial Ice Production: Allow 24 hours for the first batch of ice to be produced. Discard the first three batches of ice.
Warning: All installations must be performed by a qualified installer to ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage.

Ice Maker Operations

Ice Production

Automatically produces ice when the bin is not full and the arm is in the down position

Ice Dispensing

Press the paddle for cubed ice, hold for crushed ice. The dispenser has a child lock feature

Ice Storage

Large capacity bin holds up to 5 lbs of ice. The bin is removable for easy cleaning

Water Dispensing

Provides filtered water through the same dispenser. The water filter should be replaced every 6 months

Clean Ice Mode

Special cycle to clean the ice maker system. Run this cycle every 6 months or when changing the water filter

Vacation Mode

Turns off the ice maker while you're away to save energy and prevent ice overflow

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Ice maker not producing ice Water supply issue, ice maker turned off, clogged filter Check water supply, ensure ice maker arm is down, replace water filter
Small or misshapen ice cubes Low water pressure, clogged water filter Check water pressure (minimum 20 psi), replace water filter

Error Codes

  • E1 / F1: Temperature sensor failure - Contact service
  • E2 / F2: Freezer temperature too high - Check door seal, reduce load
  • E3 / F3: Refrigerator temperature too high - Check door seal, reduce load
  • E4 / F4: Defrost system issue - Contact service
  • E5 / F5: Ice maker communication error - Reset ice maker
  • LF / PF: Power failure indicator - Temperature was affected during power outage
