5 Burner Gas Cooktop

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Gas leak detector solution
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pipe thread sealant
  • Level
  • Tape measure

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper ventilation, away from flammable materials and with adequate clearance from overhead cabinets.
  2. Prepare Countertop: Cut countertop opening according to dimensions specified in the manual. Ensure cutout is clean and smooth.
  3. Gas Connection: Connect to gas supply using approved flexible gas connector. Apply pipe thread sealant to all connections.
  4. Check for Leaks: Apply gas leak detector solution to all connections. Bubbles indicate leaks - tighten connections if needed.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect to a properly grounded 120V, 60Hz outlet for ignition system and controls.
  6. Secure Cooktop: Place cooktop into cutout and secure with mounting brackets provided. Ensure cooktop is level.
  7. Test Operation: Test all burners for proper ignition, flame adjustment, and safety features.
Warning: Gas appliance installation must be performed by a qualified technician in accordance with local codes and regulations. Improper installation can cause gas leaks, fire, or explosion.
