Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper clearance for doors and ventilation.

  1. Location: Place on a level, solid floor. Allow at least 1 inch of clearance on back and sides, and 2 inches at the top for proper air circulation.
  2. Door Alignment & Reversal: Doors are factory-set for right-hand opening. Instructions for reversing the doors are included in the installation guide.
  3. Water Line Connection (Recommended): Connect a 1/4" copper water supply line to the cold water pipe. A shut-off valve is required. Follow the included kit instructions.
  4. Power: Plug the refrigerator's power cord into a dedicated 115V, 60Hz, 15- or 20-amp grounded outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! This appliance is heavy. Use two or more people to move and install it to avoid back injury or damage to floors. Ensure the water line connection is tight to prevent leaks.

First-Time Setup

After installation, allow the refrigerator to cool for 24 hours before adding food.

  1. Power On: The refrigerator will begin cooling once plugged in. The interior lights will turn on when doors are opened.
  2. Set Temperatures: Use the control panel. Recommended settings: Refrigerator at 37°F (3°C), Freezer at 0°F (-18°C).
  3. Dispenser Setup: Flush the water system by dispensing and discarding the first 3 gallons of water. Install a new water filter (Filter 4).
  4. Ice Maker: The ice maker is factory-set to ON. It will begin producing ice within 24 hours. Discard the first batch of ice.

CAUTION! Do not load large quantities of unfrozen food at once. Allow the appliance to stabilize at the set temperatures first.
