Specifications

Controls and Operation

Control ice maker functions through refrigerator control panel or ice maker module.

Control Panel: Ice Size button (toggle between small/large), Quick Ice button (increased production for 24 hours), Lock button (child safety lock).

Ice Maker Module: Shut-off arm (horizontal = ON, vertical = OFF), test button (for diagnostics), status light (flashing patterns indicate operation mode).

Operation: Ice maker automatically cycles every 90-120 minutes when conditions are met (freezer at 0°F or below, water supply connected, shut-off arm in ON position, bin not full).

Ice Production Cycle

Complete cycle takes approximately 90 minutes under ideal conditions.

  1. Fill: Water inlet valve opens for 7-10 seconds, filling ice mold.
  2. Freeze: Water freezes in mold for 60-80 minutes (depending on freezer temperature).
  3. Harvest: Heater warms mold for 30-45 seconds, thermostat senses temperature rise.
  4. Eject: Motor rotates ejector blades, pushing ice cubes into storage bin.
  5. Reset: Cycle completes, ice maker returns to ready position for next cycle.

Note: Ice maker pauses if bin is full (shut-off arm lifted) or if freezer temperature rises above 10°F (-12°C).

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and ice quality.

  1. Monthly: Clean ice bin with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. Every 6 months: Clean ice maker mold with vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 3 parts water).
  3. As needed: Wipe exterior of dispenser with soft cloth and mild cleaner.
  4. Seasonal: Check water line connections for leaks or kinks.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, sharp objects, or hot water on ice maker components. Unplug refrigerator before cleaning.

Water Filter Replacement

Replace water filter every 6 months or when filter indicator light turns on.

  1. Locate filter: Inside refrigerator compartment, upper right corner.
  2. Turn filter counterclockwise until it releases from housing.
  3. Insert new EveryDrop™ Filter 4 (align arrows), turn clockwise until snug.
  4. Flush system: Dispense 2 gallons of water (about 6 minutes) to remove air.
  5. Reset filter indicator: Press and hold Filter Reset button for 3 seconds.
