Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure location meets clearance requirements.

  1. Remove packaging: Take off all tape, foam, and cardboard. Keep door straps until refrigerator is in final location.
  2. Level the refrigerator: Adjust front leveling legs so refrigerator is level side-to-side and front-to-back.
  3. Connect water supply: Shut off water supply. Connect ¼" copper tubing or braided supply line to cold water line and refrigerator inlet valve.
  4. Plug into dedicated 120V AC, 60Hz outlet.
  5. Allow 24 hours for cooling and ice production before adding food.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people to move. Ensure water connection is tight to prevent leaks.

First-Time Setup

After installation, follow these steps to prepare for use.

  1. Set temperatures: Press TEMPERATURE buttons to set fresh food compartment to 37°F (3°C) and freezer to 0°F (-18°C).
  2. Dispense water: Flush water system by dispensing 2-3 gallons to clear air and carbon fines from new filter.
  3. Enable ice maker: Ensure ice maker arm is in down (ON) position.
  4. Load food: Allow compartments to reach set temperatures before adding perishable food.

CAUTION! Do not use mechanical devices or sharp objects to speed up defrosting.

Buttons: TEMPERATURE (Fresh Food/Freezer), LIGHT, LOCK, FILTER RESET, CRUSHED ICE, ICE OFF, WATER.

Temperature Settings: Use TEMPERATURE buttons to adjust fresh food (34°F to 44°F) and freezer (-5°F to 5°F). Light: Turns interior lights on/off. Lock: Press and hold 3 seconds to lock/unlock dispenser. Filter Reset: Press and hold 3 seconds after replacing filter. Ice Options: Select CUBED or CRUSHED ice. Ice Off: Turns ice maker off for cleaning or storage.

Using the Dispenser

Dispenser provides chilled water and ice (cubed or crushed).

  1. Water: Press water paddle with glass. Release to stop.
  2. Cubed Ice: Press ice paddle with glass. Release to stop.
  3. Crushed Ice: Press CRUSHED ICE button, then press ice paddle.
  4. To lock dispenser: Press and hold LOCK for 3 seconds. Repeat to unlock.

Tip: First glass of water may be cloudy due to air in line; subsequent glasses will be clear.

Storage Features

Organize food for optimal freshness and convenience.

  1. Spill-proof shelves: Contain spills; slide out for cleaning.
  2. Humidity-controlled crispers: Adjust slider for LOW (fruits) or HIGH (vegetables) humidity.
  3. Gallon door bins: Hold large containers; adjustable up/down.
  4. Freezer baskets: Slide out for access to frozen items.

WARNING! Do not block air vents inside refrigerator; this affects cooling.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water; rinse and dry.

Exterior: Clean with soft cloth and mild detergent. Interior: Remove shelves and bins; wash in warm soapy water. Dispenser: Wipe with damp cloth. Condenser coils: Vacuum every 6-12 months (located at rear or bottom front).

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, ammonia, or chlorine bleach. Do not spray water directly on controls.

Replacing the Water Filter

Replace EveryDrop™ EDR1RXD1 filter every 6 months or when indicator light comes on.

  1. Turn filter (located in upper right of fresh food compartment) counterclockwise to remove.
  2. Insert new filter; turn clockwise until it stops.
  3. Flush 2-3 gallons of water to clear air and carbon fines.
  4. Press and hold FILTER RESET for 3 seconds to reset indicator.

Note: Ice production may be delayed for 24 hours after filter change.
