Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure proper location with adequate clearance.

  1. Remove packaging and shipping materials (tape, brackets).
  2. Position refrigerator: Allow 1-inch clearance at back, 2-inch at top, and space for door swing.
  3. Level the unit: Adjust front leveling legs for stability and proper door closure.
  4. Connect water supply: Use 1/4-inch copper tubing or FDA-approved line to water inlet valve.
  5. Plug into dedicated 120V, 15A grounded outlet.

WARNING! Refrigerator is heavy; use two people for movement. Ensure water line connections are tight to prevent leaks.

First-Time Setup

Plug in refrigerator; allow 24 hours for cooling before adding food.

  1. Initial cooling: Set controls to recommended settings (37°F fridge, 0°F freezer).
  2. Dispenser setup: Flush water system for 3 minutes to clear air and carbon fines.
  3. Install water filter: Insert filter and run 2 gallons of water to prime.
  4. Set features: Configure door alarm, Sabbath mode, and ice maker if needed.
  5. Load food: Avoid overpacking to allow proper air circulation.

CAUTION! Do not use mechanical devices to defrost. Allow natural cooling period for optimal performance.

Controls and Settings

Access controls via touch panel on dispenser or interior control panel.

Display Panel: Temperature settings, filter status, door alarm, ice maker control, lock mode.

Temperature Settings: Fridge (34-46°F), Freezer (-6 to 6°F). Special Modes: Sabbath Mode (disables lights and alarms), Vacation Mode (freezer remains on, fridge warms). Filter Reset: Press and hold FILTER button for 3 seconds after replacement. Dispenser Lock: Press and hold LOCK for 3 seconds to disable dispenser pad.

Connecting Water Supply

Required for ice maker and water dispenser operation.

  1. Turn off main water supply and connect 1/4-inch line to cold water pipe.
  2. Route line to refrigerator location (max 20 ft for 1/4-inch line).
  3. Connect to water inlet valve at back of refrigerator (blue cap).
  4. Turn on water and check for leaks at all connections.
  5. Flush system for 3 minutes to clear air from lines.

Tip: Use copper tubing or FDA-approved plastic line. Do not use old or previously used water lines.

Using the Dispenser

Provides ice (crushed or cubed) and chilled water.

  1. Water: Press glass against water paddle or touch water icon on pad.
  2. Ice: Select cube or crushed ice using selector button, then press against ice paddle.
  3. Filter status: Indicator light shows when filter needs replacement (approximately 6 months).
  4. To change filter: Turn filter 1/4 counterclockwise, pull out, insert new filter and turn clockwise.
  5. Dispenser lock: Enable to prevent accidental activation.

WARNING! Do not use with containers that cannot be easily removed. Keep area clean to prevent mold.

Temperature Management

Dual cooling system maintains separate humidity levels for fridge and freezer.

Recommended Settings: Refrigerator: 37°F, Freezer: 0°F. Adaptive Defrost: System monitors usage and adjusts defrost cycles automatically. FreshFlow® Produce Preserver: Helps maintain optimal humidity in crisper drawers. Door Alarm: Sounds if door is left open for more than 5 minutes (can be disabled).

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning interior. Use mild detergent and warm water for cleaning.

  1. Exterior: Clean stainless steel with manufacturer-recommended cleaner and soft cloth.
  2. Interior: Remove shelves and bins, wash with mild detergent, rinse and dry.
  3. Dispenser area: Wipe with damp cloth; clean ice bin monthly.
  4. Condenser coils: Vacuum every 6-12 months (located at back or bottom front).
  5. Door gaskets: Clean with soapy water; check for proper seal.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, ammonia, or chlorine bleach on stainless steel. Never clean glass shelves with hot water when cold.
